How to see if blizzard got your account flagged

I came across this a while ago but, figured it was something used by the developers, who would use it for testing purposes. Therefore when enabled, they can activate certain cheats (god mode, x # pots, equip certain items, etc) quickly and easily, whilst in game.

I prefer my version of what it means, only because it is less worrying, lol .

If he is telling the truth (25 accs, 2 bans), then I dont see how you can even question this. Wouldnt be hard to check, as ppl here have been banned (check your file), 1000s of booters, check it. If all clean, doubt it was for real.

Additionally he has posted no type of proof with his theory. He simply states that when his accounts were banned the cheat disabled was changed to enabled, then he goes on to ask for rep.

Sounds like pure B.S. to me - proof or it didn't happen. He probably came across this and fabricated a story around it to make it seem more legit.

AH botting is different than cheat detection. its a simple server request check for routine spam searches in x time, not a bot/program detection. this is why "normal" AH power users are getting flagged that do it themselves sending too many searches in x time. If it was AH cheat detection, they would have been able to nail every person using auto-its, not just the ones doing it on AH.

Reading all i said would be smart before you comment, or flame, i said it was a theory my friend and i had, after what happend, i also stated, out of our 25 accs, 4-5 of them we use to diffrent exploits, witch means, diffrent bots, ah bots, dupe etc any hack we can find, to test out diffrent things,

No point of proff? im very sorry you havent seen what it looks like when and account is banned, when you tried it around 50 times on diffrent games it dosent turn you so much on anymore, you pretty much see it and get going creating a new one.

I actually talked to two Blizzard employees about how their banning works.

They said the account using the hacks/bots gets flagged or banned and if you later use your main or another account on the same copy without the hacks on, it has a 0% chance of getting banned.

This method doesn't check "accounts", it's a general diablo folder setting, which would make it sound like any account you log into while it says "cheating enabled" has a chance of being banned, which isn't the case.

Anyways yeah, if an account is on a computer and it doesn't use any hacks while you run 1-2 bots with hacks, the one without hacks has 0% chance of being banned even if you switch up the folder/client you run it from (if you've run bots on the client you're running the main one from in the past as well, doesn't matter, as long as no bots/hacks are used while you're logged in).

Id really love if someone would back you up on this I dont know, I heard ppl say that they had their main acc banned when not using hacks there? If thats true, then it dont make sense.

it gives much sense, what your saying, and then again, i just find it very wierd, blizzard would tell you, how they ban people and how they dont ban people, they might as well tell you it has nothing to there detecting methods to do, just so you wont snif around in that file.

but yea we use 25 diffrent folders, and the ones infectet, where the clients we tried alot diffrent programs, and self made stuff on.

i do belive however, when you log on, and if you use something it can detect, and it says cheat enabled, it will be send one or another way, to there database so they can look into it, and again i agree it sounds very unlikely that blizz would leave such a bug open for us to see if they can detect us our not.

on other behave after what you say, it might as well sound like blizzard made a fail here, and are trying to talk you away from the option you can mess around with that debug.txt.

i mean why would it be there, if its completly useless, why even have and option telling you if cheat is enabled or disabled, i really dont get it, and ofcause reason those 2 accs got banned could be a thousand reasons, we just simple let em stay with that status, just to see what would happen to them.

i simple hope it's and mistake by blizzard that info beeing visable, and someone can take advantage of it, if it is even possible.

but you gotta admitt, if it is a simple note saying the launcer detectet a hack or not, it is a kinda good info to have, after you made a hack to test it out, if it flags you know, you shouldent use it, if it dosent, play play play

To be honest I didn't just ask them about that specifically, let's just say I had a very elaborate question for them and they answered it as best they can, they never mentioned the d3debug file, just told me that if the account is being used with no hacks there is no way of getting it banned.

That would be extremely unfair for Lan Centers/PC Cafes/whatever, if someone hacked on all the machines and then other users log in to play, maybe 100 people, and all of them come home to emails saying their accounts have been banned. It's really doubtful =O

Edit; yep. Its just something they use for testing. There's another reference to "DebugCheats" which I can only assume they use for... well... debugging. You can ignore it.

Edit2: Futher checking, they use it to "cheat" load scenes into the game before they've been discovered, give themselves gold, and "repair all" without gold. Again, this is just debugging stuff as far as I can tell. Nothing more. Its just some "cheats" for developers to force things to happen when they normally wouldn't during gameplay. You guys can ignore the message in the log entirely. "
