Legion Alpha Catch Up

*** Warning Possible Spoilers ***

So the Legion alpha has been live for quite some time now and new information comes at us almost daily from all around the web. It is so much information that it can be hard to keep up with. In this article I will help you catch up on some of the biggest things that have been discovered in the last week or two. Let's begin.
*** Warning Possible Spoilers ***
More Toys!
First off we have the Toy Box Update. As many people who play WoW know one of the most common things that grinds our gears is how so many of the fun items in the game are not considered toys. This means that we have to have the item in our bag to use it where as a toy can just be accessed through the toy panel at any given time. Blizzard is hearing our cries and doing a massive overhaul with toys adding an insane amount of items we know and love to the toy system so we can use them in a more organized fashion.
Instead of posting 50+ items that are in this change I will give you some of the most notable:
The full list can be found here
Druid Artifact Forms
The Druids of Azeroth are not only getting a weapon for each spec like every other class but Feral and Guardian Druids are getting new forms as well.

Gnome Hunters?!?!
Like their goblin cousins gnomes will now be able to use their rocket launchers and rifles to hunt down their enemies. But that is not all. With gnome hunters comes something even more special, mechanical pets. Gnome and Goblin players will be able to tame this new pet type right off the bat but other races will have to go through a learning curve before being able to tame these new beasts. This learning curve will require a device that Engineers will be able to make and for you to "use your Hunter abilities in unusual ways." -Blizzard
"For example, one rare mechanostrider requires you to create a special punch card that grants access to a closed section of Gnomeregan (we hope you remember the way). Once you locate the clockwork creature, you’ll then need to figure out how to overload its circuits. Solve the puzzle, and you’ll have this magnificent mechanized minion striding by your side.
What do you feed a high-tech pet that’s not technically alive? Mechanical Bits, of course! Hunters will be able to keep their shiny metal friends “happy” and “healthy” through the creative use of Engineering supplies such as a Handful of Copper Bolts.
And just in case you think we’re lowering ourselves by making “small” jokes, we present to you the Gnome Hunter’s starting pet—the Giant Mechanical Rabbit—as proof!" - Blizzard

Treasure Goblins
If you are a Diablo 3 fan this addition to Legion should make you smile. Treasure Goblins are coming to Legion. Like Diablo 3 they will start casting an escape portal once you start attacking them. Right now these devilish fellows drop Sanctuary Coins. The Treasure Demon will be considered a rare mob just like Diablo 3. Also, the Treasure Demon is always going to be max level (110) causing it to be extremely tough to kill if you are not max level. So far nobody seems to know what the coins are for yet but they will be personal loot and go directly into your bags.

A Legion Invasion!
It seems old Azeroth isn't safe during this Legion invasion. Players in the alpha have found that in Legion the old zones will be flooded with Burning Legion soldiers! The one zone that seems to have been hit the hardest is the Wetlands.

To help break down what you are seeing in this map:
- The skulls with stars behind them are lieutenants of the Burning Legion
- The little crystals are Legion citadels
- The blue ovals are Illidari camps
- The purple ones are Legion relic hunters
Blizzard definitely is making this look like the biggest Legion invasion to ever happen. You even find these demons burning settlements and killing quest givers!

It also seems that some of these camps might be so strong that quest givers will give us access to siege vehicles and even mortars to help kill off some of the insanely high HP pooled demons. Some speculation from people in the alpha is that the area is either a pre-expansion event or maybe even a zone wide scenario where you get to decide how to play it. Are you going to go hand to hand combat, group up, or maybe use siege engines? The zone is played the way you want it. But this is just speculation.
