    The day you all waited for is finally here. Trion opens doors of Telara for everyone, making the monthly fee optional. No worries though, if you purchased the game before and paid the fee, you'll receive Loyalty and take part in Veteran Rewards program. So your money didn't go to waste. One thing Trion wants you to understand is they won't embrace the "pay to win" model, rather, the best in the game will have to be earned. I'm guessing this is very important to them, as it's written all over the place. You may still choose to subscribe, and doing so will grant you some pretty interesting and unique rewards. Here's a few of them:

    +15% more currency
    +10% mount speed (THANK YOU)
    priority in queue
    daily experience boost
    daily PVP experience boost (THANK YOUUUUU)

    They let you choose how long you want these bonuses for, so you can subscribe for 1,3,6 and 12 months or any combination of those. They also have so many currencies in the game, it's not even funny. You got your Store Credits, which are pretty self explanatory. You got your REX System, which allows you to purchase items from the Store, however, REX can be bought within the game for regular currency you can farm. Unlike the Guild Wars 2 gem system, REX price is determined by other players. Now doing any of these, purchasing store credits, subscribing or using REX system, will earn you Loyalty, which will unlock rewards and enable you to fetch some Loyalty exclusive items. Good thing Trion likes to keep it simple.

    4 years and $50 million dollars was rather well spent on the game. Seeing as this is Trion's first, they did a fine job. The game is rich with features, some might even think too rich. If you ever found that World of Warcraft has a complex talent system, stay away from RIFT. Alongside your usual Alliance/Horde setup (Guardian/Defiants), each having 3 races to choose from, you can pick one of 4 different classes. But that's just a beginning. Each of the 4 classes has 9 different subclasses, 8 regular and 1 PVP, so Trion basically lets you build any type of character you want. You pick racial skills at the beginning, as well as your calling, and then you can proceed with adding different abilities to it. The soul system, as they call it, has a few premade options to choose from, but you can just as well place points anywhere you like. You can choose up to 3 at a time, so be creative here.

    Aside the really complex talent system, they offer a really powerful macro system. You can macro 6 skills, for instance, casting number 2 if 1 is on cooldown, number 3 if 2 is on cooldown and so forth, making you a death machine by spamming one button. Of course, this isn't like that /castrandom stuff you are used to, as having 3 different souls at a time brings a lot of skills, so this is just enabling you to group them in any manner. The interface is highly (and I mean highly) customizable, so there isn't really a need for add-ons, however, Curse hosts quite a few, so you may find something useful. Trion also has a type of recruit-a-friend program (Ascend-a-friend) where you get rewards for recruiting people into the game, once the pay for 30 days subscription of course. Game features a bunch of dungeons, as well as some nice PVP system, including a sick 200 vs 200 vs 200 battles where your PC just plays a slideshow and chokes. The Conquest Warfront (big battle) uses the PvPvE system, where you fight other players, while messing around with environmental events. Pretty fun.

    Here's the kicker. With the REX system, you can basically run a bot, farm some gold and buy something that's worth some real money. However, this economy is independent. Players control the exchange rate, so there will come a day when you simply won't be able to farm the amount necessary, and other days when you will be able to buy REX dirty cheap. There will also come a time when you'll be able to buy REX, swap it for gold, turn around and sell that gold at a higher price. A gamble, but is it worth it? Will you Ascend (that's what she said) and enter Telera running the biggest, baddest bot scheme we've seen, or will you play it casually because it does host tons of content?       There aren't any public bots atm as far as I could find. Rift's anti-cheat is pretty beast or so everyone claims.

      There were some rumors, but nothing confirmed. Of course, back then failure to make something undetectable had a price, now it's free =)
