Say you do this, do the users need a custom patch from the server to actually get the full effect of the models?

I have the same error as Cdxanti. Whenever I try loading my model in the model viewer I get this error:

    Assertion failed

    Program:...er\LOCALS 1\temp\Rar$EX00.890\wowmodelview.exe
    File:d:\projects\wowmodelview-0.4-rc2\src\animated.h
    Line:171

    Expression:gs

Clearly I did something wrong with the model.

I wanted to add a new shield to the game, here's what I did:

Made the shield model in 3ds max,

UV mapped it with 3ds max,

    Exported as .3ds

Converted it to m2 with the 3dstom2 program,

    loaded the m2 with m2modder.

    Press t enter

    - n enter

    - 0 enter

    - Name.blp enter

    -1

    q and q..

Add the file to an mpq in the correct folder, add the texture in no folder.

Load up wow model viewer, and get the error. What did I do wrong in this process?

I think it's because there's no animation data in the model.

I'm still unclear on how to add the models into the game. I have the MPQ's I downloaded right from here, the custom models. How do I take those and add them to the game? I don't need to create my own, just put these in.

I'm in a car underwater with time to kill,
    looking back I forgot to tell you this;
I didn't care that you left and abandoned me,
    what hurts more,
is that I would still die for you.

I have yet a problem.. I managed to get the custom models to work in Model viewer.. And there my edit looks like this:

    The Spell breaker:

Problem is, when I load it up in the game, the left shoulder is kind of transparrent.. As the textures are somehow on the wrong side of the model - namely the inner faces.. Which kind of sucks.. And the shield doesn't show up at all... Any idea as to what I did wrong? Havn't been able to test helmet ingame yet, but probably same problem as shield. Works in viewer, but not in the game.

you might want to use the new sunwell cloth shoulders and the robes.

great work on the helm and shield, I hope you get them working !

Gah I have a character swap in mind, but if you can't rig a model to the wow animations then there is no point
Look at your post, now back to mine; Now back to your post, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate content, it could look like mine. Look down, backup, where are you? You're scrolling through threads, reading the post your post could look like. What did you post? Back at mine; It's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again and the reply is now diamonds.
