Thank you very much, I'll look in to that.
Edit: I couldn't find the editor, could someone post a link please?

ah man this is the most confusing guide for starters ever. It took me ages to go into warcraftstudio extract the map.dbc and then convert it then open it and then I changed the names as said in the movie and saved but then what?!?!?!... I have a map.dbc.csv a map.dbc.bak and the original map.dbc!
Am I meant to create a new mpq achieve or something? Oh man I'm so so lost =(

Before doing this you should go to a more basic model editing guide. At this point all you would have to do is make a patch using the 2nd patch.dbc. I'm not going into much detail because there are other guides that you should probably start with.
Got it to work a while ago, but of course I died. It would be nice if you could post a second part teaching us how to add the water![]()
You can't add the water as I did to all instances. I only did it with Emerald Dream because ED is made up of ADTs which I can add water to. While I can add water to an instance (WMOs) I haven't tested it yet, plan to later today.
Hey when you fall to your death, do you hit the ground and die? or do you just fall in the air and die??
There is no ground. As of BC you would fall a ways then your character would fall away from the camera and you'd be able to rez at a ghost. Now some patch seemed to screw this up. Recently I have fallen forever. Meh, I don't know exactly. Point is, you die![]()
haha yeah I recently noticed hat too something changed and your chara doesn't fall out of view. Anyway so is the correct way once making the instance swap, to make a mpq named enUS-3 or something with inside it DBfilesClient then all the files inside it including your name swap right? Maybe its just me but mywarcraft studio is having troubling cramming the file I want in.
(By the way this isn't my first model edit I have done chara edits before and I understand how the system works sort of =P )
Harsh words said bellow... aren't you supposed to be a model editing teacher? Sorry 4 being a model editing noob, I didn't know that that was the link to a guide on putting a .dbc in a .mpq and making it work on warcraft.

Hey Demonkunga!
Really like your posts man, enjoy all of them.
About this one. If you change an instance to become eg. Emerald Dream, will the bosses still be there, floating in the air or something?
-removed by staff, too large.
They sort of fall into thin air.
