Questions & Answers
- Q: I'm just wondering, when I delete the files for the gnome->undead change, will this have affected anything (the head size change)?
- A: If you delete the data, everything will be as it was. So every gnome is a gnome again.
- Q: Only thing is; I dont know where to put the file. And if it diesnt match, can i just delete it?
- A: /world of warcraft/data/, yes.
- Q: I tried it and got it to work to an extent, for some reason the hair pops out of the helm, do you have any idea what I did wrong?
- A: You did nothing wrong. But for your race/gender/helm combo the hair isn't hidden.
You'd have to change this in ItemDisplayInfo.dbc or HelmetGeoVisData.dbc.
- Q: Quick question, the patch-2.mpq is gone now in this patch (2.2.0), should i just go with the patch.mpq?
- A: Yep. Always the mpq with the highest number
- Q: You didnt list the races that arent he main races like the goblings, naga, skeletons and broken.
- A: Yep. You said Goblin is Go, maybe the rest are Na, Sk and Br, but just look them up in ChrRaces.dbc
- Q: I got a patch-2.mpq but there arent any ITEM\... files. What to do?
- A: Well, if patch-2 does not contain any files in ITEM\ just continue with patch.mpq.
- Q: Most of those premade fixes have broken links.
- A: Yes, they are pretty old. I can't fix that since I never downloaded them.

Wow, thats exactly the way ive ever done it.
ive done some helmfixes and ive put the race changes in there too. ill upload them later and post it than.
thanks a bunch, this helped a bunch and for the most part it was easy to follow
one thing i did notice is you didnt list the races that arent he main races like the goblings, naga, skeletons and broken
i know the goblins are GoM for male and GoF for female the others i dont know
When i open \wow\data\patch-2.mpq (which i have renamed to patch-4.mpq)
I have nothing except My character folder so i hit a snag as early as step 1.2
For the other Races abbrevs just lookup in ChrRaces.dbc.
Well, if patch-2 does not contain any files in ITEM\ just continue with patch.mpq.
In step 4.7 could you explain it more clearly of what i open it with since i've tried to open it both manually directly from the folder or with warcraftStudio,
Like the guide so far tough :>
You rightclick that folder in myWarcraftStudio and click import folder, then select a file in that folder you have to import.
Most of those premade fixes have broken links.
