    Re: [Guide] Transparency and Size

Hmm... Stealthed or shadowmelded players still use their default, non-transparent models. So, probably, changing transparency for players is useless in PvP. :>

    Questions & Answers

    • Q: is it possible to edit the item to be bigger and transparancy? So yeah, do you maybe know how to do it exactly because the fields of weapons are different from the ones of creatures but it should be the same concept right?
    • A: it is not possible without editing the .m2 itself.

    • Q: Is it possibile of changing the transparency of stealthed players back to normal? That would make finding stealthers a tiny bit easier, even though they would still have to be within range.
    • A: Using model editing to cheat in pvp is not cool ;/ and its not possible since the information, where stealthed players are is not even sent to your client.

    • Q: So, what's the numbers for shadowform? Is it doable with this method?
    • A: Shadowform isn't a creature. And since it is as said no creature, you cant edit the size or transparency of that thing...

    Druid form IDs:

    Druid NE Bear - 213 = 2281
    Druid T Bear - 214 = 2289
    Druid NE Cat - 1231 = 892
    Druid T Cat - 1232 = 8571
    Druid NE Moonkin - 2199 = 15374
    Druid T Moonkin - 2200 = 15375
    Druid Travel Form - 82 = 632
    Druid NE Storm Crow - 2540 = 20857
    Druid T Storm Crow - 2541 = 20872
    Druid NE Epic Storm Crow - 2559 = 21243
    Druid T Epic Storm Crow - 2560 = 21244
    Druid Water Form - 224 = 2428

    Bold numbers - Model ID.
    In case anyone needs them.

    Re: [Guide] Transparency and Size

I have tried this guide, successfully, and it didn't fix my problem. when I change my NE male into a tauren male, it gets really small, and the mane, tail and feet are all white (not transparent, white.) I've tried pushing the transparency higher than 255, but ofcourse it did not work. Can anyone tell me how to fix this, or upload a fix of it?

Sorry for the necro... I just want to ask if transparency still works in 3.3.5? I tried to edit few mounts but transparency never worked ... Size worked like a charm though. I'm working on a really cool model edit now but tbh it looks ugly if it isn't a bit transparent...
