Ok guys, break this down for me.. What - do - I - do? I tried doing what piggy said a few pages back, but I couldn't get it to work.

Anyone with the time and will to help a clueless soul out?

Re: [Applications] Model Editing with a Mac

I've only just discovered this and there is a high chance it won't work, but the program 'Crossover' appareantly allows you to run some windows applications natively in osx.

You can find it here CodeWeavers - CrossOver Mac

I'm honestly not sure what will and won't work with it though, although it may help

The most I have managed model editing wise on my mac is druid form changes, nothing else has worked. The most i've done in terms of other 'model changing' of late is simple weapon model swapping, albeit done in a cumbersome fashion through memory display id editing with 'The Cheat' which can be found at Software - BrokenZipper. Its a really basic memory editor, but the only one I have found for mac.

Is the pen mightier than the sword? If that pen is also a class four grenade, then the answer’s not too difficult to deduce.

nice post! ive been reading and some people cant get their chages to work at all, its pretty basic but change the .mpq to .MPQ (lowcaps to caps). you maybe all know this, but when i did anything i tried to put the extension like the other ones, and it worked
also if your wow is crashing, it might be because of the computer (might!) can you post here what comps you have?

15 inch Mac Book Pro here.
    I get crashes too.
Sadly i think its because of the PC nerf that we got nerfed too.
The only difference is that we don't have a Model Edit fix .

Re: [Applications] Model Editing with a Mac

i made some patches to make my armor look like T6 (some of my friends fell for it xD) and i used some basic clothing to make the the switch. when i was in an area with lots of peple using the gear i had used to make the switch, i would crash. i think that its because the computer couldnt handle all the changes :S

Re: [Applications] Model Editing with a Mac

With Intel/Macs and Parallels , a set of model editors for the Mac may be a bit of an anachronism, but I'm sure there is more than just me who doesn't have the cash to go spend on shiny new toys from Apple. I have scoured the Internet and found source code for wowmodelview, wowmapview, mpqtool (D2 Mac editor) and StormLib. Basically everything needed to write a full MyWarcraftStudio like app for the Mac. The only problem is that while I am willing and able to help, I'm not the worlds greatest programmer. So if there is anyone out there willing to take such a project on let me know. All code is GPLed and full credit will go to contributors.

    darn IT!

Basically the biggest problem i have now is that I can't compress the .mpq. the drop mpq won't even let me drag the folder to compress it, and i can't use the program, i click it and then thats it, nothing else, but apparantly it is running. I also have mac Leopord the newest version could this be a problem at all?
