    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

Hmmmm.. i followed what you did but with Version 0.7.

I tried switching to bear form on my tauren and it just switch to normal bear form..

Edit: Nevermind.. I read your post again and it's for night elves.

    I'm just wondering though.
IF i want to get rid of Kel'th in bear form do i just delete my speech2.MPQ file?

    Great!

So, are there any guide to making an area appear as somewhere else?

Such as making the deadmines into the emeral dream?

BTW, Thanks for the quick answer.

    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

    ahh ok... I see

    I have another question=
Ok well yesterday I did my first model change (my hunter's pet into a little cat, very funny )

I called it cat_speech2.mpq, and put it into c:\worldofwarcraft\data

At first it was NOT working, and I looked at the files in c:\worldofwarcraft\data and I saw a file called speech2.mpq, which is an old armor model change someone did it for me.

So I put the speech2.mpq (armor model change) into another file, and I renamed cat_speech2.mpq into speech2.mpq, and I worked fine...

The problem is I don't want to give up the armor model change, and I would like to use both... is this possible???? Do they both have to be called speech2.mpq to work??

    This sucks....

im gonna start a topic for this

    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

you can name your files in data to any of the following:

    speech2.mpq
    patch-0.mpq
    patch-2.mpq
    patch-3.mpq
    patch-4.mpq
    patch-5.mpq
    patch-6.mpq
    patch-7.mpq
    patch-8.mpq
    patch-9.mpq

    hope that helps!

and to kuram, you have to dbc edit to change a character into a creature. srry m8 dbc editing is easy though, theres a post in the model edit forums, you'll find it.
