    Get WoWModelViewer at http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/
MWCS 0.10 still has a lot of bugs

,.,.. i didnt say, you should replace mwcs with wowmv ... you just look at the models in wowmv and export them in mwcs ...

    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

Great guide! You got me interested in model editing...

I just have a few questions for ya...
I would like to make a model edit for warlock pets. I would just like to know if you have to make seperate MPQ archives for each pet, or can you just combine them into one?

    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

The guide does not work for me, when i open my common.MPQ file nothing shows up on the sidelist, also, there is only 1 folder in my data folder, "enUS",
however on your screenshot it shows creature , tileset, and other folders that i do not have.
Maybe i just dont know how to use MWCS, but, its frustrating to understand how the whole process works just unable to open any model file

Do you have MWS 0.10? And, common.mpq takes a long time to load.

    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

well i think i did every thing right these are the steps i took

    1.opened common.mpq in MWCS(version 0.9 btw)

    2.create a folder called (Creature) inside of C:\Program Files\World Of Warcraft\Data,

3.then inside of that (Creature) folder I created another folder called (DruidBear)

4.and that is where I extracted my m2 and blp files by right clicking on the m2 and blp files in MWCS and going to Extract Files To....(btw i used HydraOutland for my creature)

    5.renamed the m2 and blp files (DruidBear.m2 and DruidBearSkin.blp)

(e.x. of wht my path was) C:\ProgramFiles\WorldOfWarcraft\Data\Creature\DruidBear\DruidBear.m2
    and
    C:\ProgramFiles\WorldOfWarcraft\Data\Creature\DruidBear\DruidBearSkin.blp

    6. then i went back to MWCS and went to Create MPQ archive..

    7. named it patch-3.MPQ (i also tried speech2.MPQ) and saved it in my C:\ProgramFiles\WorldOfWarcraft\Data

    8. then i went to Pack then Add Files To Archive typed in : Creature/DruidBear/DruidBear.m2 in that little box (and did the same for the .blp or texture file)

    9. saved the MPQ then exited MWCS.

    10. opend WoW logged in tranformed into bear form and I WASNT A 3 HEADED HYDRAA!!! I WAS STILL THE SAME BEAR!!

WHAT DID I DO WRONG PLS SOMEONE TELL ME

    Re: Model Editing: For Dummies

Hai thar lads. Ima new to model changing thingy. Infact i's the first time i am using Mywarcraftstudio.
You guys will prolly call me a nub ( and i dun really mind as long as you answer ) but could someone or more specific could you Krazzee tell me how to change my human male to undead male ?

    And i got some questions.
Q 1) When i open Wordpad to type DruidBear.m2 and DruidBearSkin.blp do i close it after that ? Or not ? And if yes do i save it ?

Q 2) When you say "click on Pack(P), then click Create MPQ Archive, a window should pop up, go to your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data then call it speech2.MPQ then hit open." you mean to make it, save it and then go to it again and open it ? Or what ?

I haven't been able to to make ma dr00d look like KT yet. Still trying to learn the program.
Sorry for beeing such a newb but i really can't make it work!

If anyone got any clue about making human male look like undead male here's my MSN [email protected]. Contact me!

    Regards Sind
