I know, Im more fail than you are though. I'm the one who doesnt understand how to do something as simple as adding a treepath. Im sure its super-simple, and i've tried all I can. I feel so failish and stupid now lol.

Sorry Gawdlaw, but i kinda prefered the Lexs guide, but since he is banned this is the best on-date guide i guess.

Edit: I just noticed that this guide was for professional users (Lex used paint ;P), so this is as useful as his post for sure!
I just use so much photoshop that it isn't a weird or professional thing to me. But i guess (and know) that it is for most of the guys here.

I just used MS Paint in my guide, because the actual point of it is to see how you do it. This is more of a photoshop guide, imo.

I remember i learned reskinning from a video! maybe a video is better for you also.

Hey Gawdlaw! I think I got it. SO I select my blp, and put the treepath over it, erasing its name? I havent tried that, Im gonna try now, if it works +Rep to you anyway lol

YAY! I did my first reskin. Looks naab because I speed-did it to see if it will work... AND IT DID! Thanks for your guide, Gawdlaw! I made a human with dark, gray skin, and red lines all over his body. It has some red eyes too Im gonna do a weapon reskin now, and a couple of others untill I get atleast this:

I finaly found out what went wrong, I had to put the image -> mode -> "Indexed Color" instead of RGB color. its different from what is written here, so im a bit confused

I am having a bit of a problem, and you seem to have it together, so perhaps you may be able to help me. I just went hough 38 pages of forums with no answer to my question. I have downloaded 7 different repacks, including the one on your post, and I have 6 computers, all with a working wow account, so I know there isn't a missing file. I have run the 7 repacks on the 6 computers all with the same problem, in all instances. When I run the ad.exe program to extract the maps into the maps folder, it gets to 41% and crashes on all computers, in all repacks. I'm not finding an posts, but I can't believe that I am the only person haveing this problem, so do you have any solutions?

The blps you open in photoshop must be RGB color each. Otherwise I think the textures fuse or something, and it's gonna be like that MEF (Model Editing Fail) a guy posted, with a nether drake which had its textures totally ruined...

Maybe its different bekus you have another version i think hehe ^^
