[Question] "unable to validate game version"

Hello! When i try to change from Ud female to Ud male and opens wow with latest fix(2.3.0) i get this wrong message "unable to validate game version bla bla bla bla contact blizzard and they will help u out(something like that)" when i start wow from the original wow.exe i dont get this message, so i wonder what i need to do to get it working correctly? thanks in advance!

PS. Im a noob in ME, so sorry for being a leecher, anyways, i will give +rep to any1 who helps me, if u tell me how i do that is thanks!

Are you sure that you are ACTIVATING the fix before u actually log in?
After WoW has fully loaded you have to press F8 and have all the custom patches
in your .cfg

i am pressing F8, and i have all the patches in the cfg ;o

Doesnt work, cant even log in with wowme.exe, the same message appears =(


Isnt there any typical noobmisstakes i could have done?

You could have altered and f**ked up common-, patch-, or expansion.mpq
and therefore messed with the version of the game (Since it doesn't like reading wrong stuff unless its custom...)

Try repairing, if that fails, duno, reinstall?

Could someone post the MEfix that you are using?

I've tried to use the ones posted here and it doesnt work. I get the same problem as this guy but Im pretty sure its cause its the MEfix version Im trying to use.

Hm, i think i tried it all now, i have checked thru 16pages when i searched for undead female to undead male, tried every single patch.mpq, repaired, reinstalled and deleted my addons, still the same message, what is wrong =(?

Im using the very latest ascent, and the very latest NCDB and Im getting this error too.

Im pretty sure we are on 2.3.0 builds still, oddly it doesnt happen with my older versions.

No, you just do it wrong, cuz it says uable to blabla game version:

Start ME fix
Press F8
Log in
Press f8 again
go in ur char

and it has to work then,

Look In Your Ascent. If u have it, or w/e DB u use.

Logonserver.conf Open it with note pad and change those numbers and u will never have to update your Database.

I have this same problem. I got all the latest files (from someone using them atm) and it just doesnt work, it cant validate my game version.

Since I'm stupid I dont understand the last post, but I'm sure it was very helpfull, so an elaborated version of that post would be great.

On a sidenote, when I use the RaceTransfer and convert, the MPQ Editor freezes, meaning it doesn't load entirely and I have to shut it down through ctrl-alt-del. But if I open the MPQ Editor manually before the racetransfer, it loads the script like it's supposed to. Does this have anything to do with the problem?

For the record, I'm trying to get my ne f into a ud m. And the problem is the F8 function, it just doesnt work.
