    Wildhammer Dwarves question

I'm wondering if it would be possible to modify regular dwarves, or any character for that matter, to use the Wildhammer dwarf skins/models. A quick look through MyWarcraftStudio didn't yield much info, but I'm sure the texture files have to be in there somewhere. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'll see what I can come up with myself.

    Re: Wildhammer Dwarves question

Hi Lady, to answer in short. Yes it is possible to edit them to use the wildhammer skin.
    And in detail:
The skins you look for are:
    Character\Dwarf\Male\DwarfMaleSkin00_107.blp
    and
    Character\Dwarf\Male\DwarfMaleSkin00_108.blp

What you have to do is export these files and part them into tiny bits.

    For example:

    DwarfMaleFaceLower00_00.blp
    lower part of his face

    DwarfMaleFaceUpper00_00.blp
    His forehead

    DwarfMaleNakedPelvisSkin00_00.blp
    His trunks

    DwarfMaleSkin00_00.blp
    And finally the main skin.

Now what you've got to do is part the wildhammer skins into these tiny bits, and toss them together in every facial combination possible, part the trunks and put them instead of an exisiting skin, for example the 00 one.

    **Hint**

There are 9 different dwarven facetypes, so you'd have to copy the wildhammer one to 9 different names.

    Alex ^_^

Thank you very much! This looks like a bit of work, but I think I can handle it. Are the female skins in there as well?

    Re: Wildhammer Dwarves question

I'm pretty sure there are, can't be bothered to look right now
It's not too bad I've done it a lot, just cut, copy and paste in paint.. works wonders. Just remember to get a program where you can make the skins indexed, else they will look stupid in wow. ^_^
