    An epic idea (i think)

But I don't know a darned thing about model editing/model making/bla blah blah blah. Now, the first thing that will probably come to your mind is, "Hey, guy, go look on the program list." My answer to you sir, is that i have done just that. I was more confused after looking at that list than i was before i found it. Anywho like you want to read all of this, here is my question. I have an idea (I'm not going to tell you what it is...) but I need software than can take something from one Model, like cut it out, and put it onto another model....is there anything like that out there? and also i need to at polygons to the object so it enlarges nicely....
I might missed a post I looked for an hour or two, tried downloading some things and couldn't...i have the latest WoW Model Viewer..
Thanks for reading and for any help you may have.

I doubt you could improvise yourself as a 3D modeler and play around with blizzard's files just with some programs... I could be wrong too

Do you mean taking, for example, the head of something and sticking it on another model? If so, just convert both the models to *.ms3d using WoWModelViewer, then take what you need from one model and put it on the other one.

Re: An epic idea (i think)

Use Cryects tool to convert it to a 3d studio max file? And then off open 3d studio max and mod the model? (Never been into that kind of changes, so can't say for sure)

    Milkshape 3d
Maya 3d(lot more complex to get that to work)
    3ds Max
    Lightwave(alove more complex)
    Rhino(complex as well)

All of those can edit 3d models. Milkshape 3d is the one your going to get a direct conversion from, ".ms3d" You can convert the model from ms3d to a .obj or a .3ds or whatever 3d object file you want. However 99% of the time you will lose all animation and texturing information transferring from .ms3d -> whatever.

You are going to have to spend a fair amount of time having to learn how to use those programs, its not a simple point and click like WoW Model Viewer. You have have to learn how to splice polygons without screwing up the model. Properly detaching them, then reattaching them. Then adding a bone structure and storying animation files to it.

A single chance can take 1-10 days depending on how complex it is. If it is something simple like swapping heads on models I'd say about 6-7 days for you if you have never touched 3d software before.

Anyways, that is my 2cents before you get to overwhelmed. But, there is no program like WoW Model Viewer where you can just swap models wherever you want. You do need a 3d software program.

Try Blender! I am almost 100% sure it loads 3ds files and it's a very good free model editor once you get to know it.
