Possible to use new Models on 1.21.1 Vanilla?

Is it possible to use new model files, for example the upcoming Blood Elf model on a vanilla private server (Replacing Gnome) I've previously replaced Trolls (Male and Female) with Blood Elves (Male and Female) and wondered if the "NEW" models would be usable in the same way, thanks.

Nope. There are a lot of different M2 versions in the World of Warcraft. Today, we mainly use the wotlk 3.3.5 version for modding, and the new stuff (like the new models) is backported to this version. You can backport static (like a chair, a bench..) from Wotlk to 1.12 (thank to a brilliant man who released tools in early 2014 on this forums and on MC), but you can't do that for models with animations. Wotlk alpha is the last version you could backport models to vanilla.
There is no tool, and nobody with the skills seems to care about it.
