Help?

Hey, I'm new to Model editing and i have a few questions.... and please forgive my ignorance :banghead:=D im a nub at this :wave:

1). k, since we all know Noggit dosnt work for 2.1.X but... it works for 1.2 or w.e, is it possible to get a 1.2 private server make custom zones and stuff, and back it up and get it on a 2.1.x server?

2). If that dosnt work, How do people edit the map files and crap without noggit in 2.1.x?

any help would be greatly appreciated
