    Single -> Multi -textured, How?

    How do you change a single textured .m2 into a multi textured one? I've been looking for guides for it, but couldn't find one
    Help, please

    Well...
    A.) The .m2 does not contain the texture, that would be the .blp files.
    B.) Its not the same as normal model editing, so get that in your mind.
    C.) DBC is the method, I highly doubt anyone has/will post a guide on this
    D.) This has been asked 1000 times with the same response.. "Dbc editing"

    /sigh

    I'm not a noob, I can do everything with model editing. Can't do any DBC editing whatsoever, though... And it is the .m2's that have several skins assigned to them, right?

    Re: Single -> Multi -textured, How?

    Well there is a guide posted now so it doesnt really matter what i say..
    However if your interested in the actual game design, the DBC's are just database files. They basically tell your PC what to load as the default textures and models that blizzard assigned. You can change the database to load other textures default instead of the ones the directly implented. The models however dont have specific textures assigned to them ( or else you wouldnt be able to have a dreadlord with any texture you wanted ) they have textures assigned to different parts of the model so you can basically put in w/e texture you want for that space and it will be applied to the same area of the model. If you look at a wow model, it basically looks like a crappy N64 version of w/e your looking at, yet Blizzard designers have the technology to apply shaders and mapping to the .m2's that allow it to actually look like we see it in wow, smooth, complex, detailed and the like.

    The .m2's simply hold animations and mapping inside.
