Question How to add new model to only Player characters. (3.3.5)

Hey there, I have edited some models using blender and have exported them back into WoW format.
I now am wondering how I have to structure the MPQ file so that these player models only overwrite player characters and not NPCs.
Is there any way to do this? I only want it to not overwrite NPCs.

PLEASE NOTE THIS QUESTION IS ONLY ABOUT PATCH 3.3.5

The best way I can describe how to find what the structure of a MPQ file is is to open up that client's MPQ files.

I opened up this file in my 3.3.5 WoW folder:
    Data\common.MPQ

Found the character models in the "character" directory.
So your structure should look sort of like this:
    character\human\female\filesGoHere.*

    Hope this helps.

    Edit:
Oh and don't forget to rename your files accordingly.

Thanks for helping out, but I already have it structured this way.
But the NPCs also have the same cosmetic changes, the player characters have.
Is there a way to do something like this to ONLY apply to player characters and not NPCs as well?

The mod I am working on needs the changes to only affect the player characters.
I hope you can help me out with this.

Ohhh. Guess i didn't understand that part when I read through. I don't think that's possible since they share models. Least from what I can tell.

I just found a guide which is about only changing the player characters, but I don´t think this would work with newly added models.
Here is the guide I mentioned above http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...haracters.html ([Guide] Changing only player characters)

Do you think there is a way to do the things described in this guide with newly added models?
