new login screen need help

i want to make a new login screen for 3.5.5a but how do i do i dnot how m2 files can any help me out plz

What kind of login screen are you planning?
Swapping to a different one (easy) or creating one from scratch? (this is the hardest way)
Also zoomed versions of existing login screens and spells can be used (med. hard)

Image or animated?
Image can be done in hex, animated custom login screen needs to be hand-made with a 3D-program. (please note it took like 2 weeks for blizz employees to make that very same animated login-screen)
Also if you find a model for that portal, you can also have it as the login screen without having to create the model yourself, however, the background in this case still needs to be a simple image.
