Hi, i've seen people exploring Kalidar, the development map and some other awesome stuff. Now, i can't ignore this method of exploration anymore.
1) I've read basic model swapping methods and i've tested them with no success so i wanted to be sure that i'm using the right method.
Let's say i want to swap Firelands2 with deephome.
I will have to copy Firelands2.wdl Firelands2.wdt and every Firelands2_XX_XX.adt to a new MPQ and put them under the folder : World/maps/Deephome/ and then rename every files replacing Firelands2 with Deephome. I am right ?
2) Can I swap maps from different wow version ? Same example : i want to bring firelands2 to deephome on 4.2 live server with firelands2 files from 4.0.6 client.
3) Is there any guide that summarize every files extentions ?
.adt / .wdl / .wdt / .blp / .chk / .tex / .m2 / .skin / .wmo / .zmp / .dbc
I've search a little and found nothing :/
4) Is there any way to know if a map can be loaded ? Loading some maps can make the client crash, is there any way to verify that the the files we have are enough to be loaded or aren't corrupted, or something like that?
5) Is there any way to know at which coords the map is starting ? Let's say EmeraldDream map is starting at X=5000 Y=4500 (less than X=5000 and Y=4500 is empty), is there any way to know this using the MPQ or dbc ?
Sorry if it's dumb questions and for the bad english, if you don't understand me, please ask and i'll try to make it clearer. And thanks for answering![]()
