What program is used to actually Download Model Edits?

Looking to download a mount edit, my first time trying it, when I open the download link I'm asked to choose a program to download it with.

What program is used to actually Download Model Edits?

You are getting asked for a program to open it, not to download it with. Download it with Internet Explorer.

Now I understand you!!!!! You don't open edits. You take the .mpq file you get and you put it in your wow folder. There will be a folder in the wow folder called Data, you put the file in that folder and your done.

Still not working, I download, drag into Program Files > World of Warcraft > Date, but I have 3 more folders inside Data, I tried putting it in Cache and simply in the Data folder, but neither worked. (Yes I am quitting the game and starting it back up)

Model Edits should be placed to your World of Warcraft's Data folder (forget about the subfolders)
your patch should be named like this: patch-5.MPQ. Capitalize the MPQ, the patch number can be
    changed but the rest cannot.

    Here's an example:
World of Warcraft/Data/Cache/patch-5.MPQ Wrong! Model Edits should be placed in the World of Warcraft/Data, not in any of it's subfolders.
World of Warcraft/Data/mypatch.MPQ Wrong! Patch isn't named correctly!
World of Warcraft/Data/patch-5.mpq Wrong! "mpq" should be capitalized (MPQ)
    World of Warcraft/Data/patch-5.MPQ Correct!
    World of Warcraft/Data/patch-6.MPQ Correct!
    World of Warcraft/Data/patch-z.MPQ Correct!

If you're trying to use an edit on a 4.0.6 unpatched client, it won't work!
(Client has to be patched, the MPQs have to be remade and there's a high chance for a ban)

Another problem is that it could also be for a different game version. I believe the Mount swaps are for 3.3.5a only. If that is the problem, srry for my language but then your screwed. Unless someone makes mount swaps for 4.0.1 or 4.0.3. But for some reason I feel like that isn't you problem.

    Edit
    -----------
I also noticed the Patchs are named wrong for them to work on 3.3.5a. The file is suppose to be called Patch-#, in replace of the # is suppose to go a number from 4-9 or a letter from A-Z. That might make it work. Just like Xel's post states,
    World of Warcraft/Data/patch-5.MPQ Correct!
    World of Warcraft/Data/patch-6.MPQ Correct!
    World of Warcraft/Data/patch-z.MPQ Correct!
