Possible to Import and replace new Zone into Old?

Hello, I was wondering if you could somehow import and replace the old wotlk Zone ( Darkshore ) with the new Cata zone? ( Darkshore )

Or is this impossible?

My guess would be that it is hard to do since the data files have changed so much from wotlk to cataclysm. As of now, I can't think of a way since model editing is tougher than ever.

He obviously plays private server before 4.x bcuz on retail the world changes even if u dont have bought cata.
So buying cata is not realy an answear for him if he wants to keep playing on the private server :/
