patch-z.mpq trick isnt working anymore ? =(
Oh almighty elite users!
Enlighten us with your brilliance and help us in this situation of distress!
I want my Zelda patch up and going again :<
So I got most of my patches working after 4.0.1 with the folder trick, and like the rest of you, none of mine are working again. I noticed that just about every WoW file had a MPQ.lock with the same name. After removing all my edit folders, I'm down to just three MPQ.lock files. I have no idea what this means, but I thought perhaps some more information might be helpful. The MPQ.lock files remaining are all the wow-update-13###.MPQ files.
Has anyone tried using the original .mpq file way?
sure....didn't work
wth are the files .lst? in art.mpq the 1 file is md5.lst or something like that Oo?
To make it work. add it to original patch files, then it works. But then you can't remove it either.
i tried to add the files with the mpq edit........but "not allower in READ ONLY MODE" ...wth ...isnt in read only mode!!! >
Broken for me, too.
Damn, I guess I won't be fapping to nekkid blood elves tonight...
Its just a theory but WoW (or at least Warden) might be using MD5 to check the integrity of files.
