    Weapon Glows

I have tried several times to put a glow on a weapon but it just doesn't work. If possible please put a +81 spellpower glow on Blade of Misfortune [DisplayID: 43638] the ID for the spellpower glow is 172 and the same for Apostle of Argus [DisplayID: 45205] and last but not least, the same glow for Defias Rapier [DisplayID: 20114]

Thanks very much for the help.

Yes it is. I've seen it done before. It's in like ItemDisplay.dbc last column. If you look at a displayID of an item with a glow in that dbc then you will see a number on the last column attached to SpellItemEnchats.dbc (or w/e its called)

You could also copy the particles of the enchantment to the weapon.

    SpellItemEnchantment.dbc - WoW.Dev Wiki
    ItemVisuals.dbc - WoW.Dev Wiki
    ItemDisplayInfo.dbc - WoW.Dev Wiki

Go into SpellItemEnchantment.dbc and find the name of the enchantment you want. If you are swapping enchants, look for the one you currently have as well as the one you want.

Once you find them, go to field 32 for the ItemVisuals.dbc reference. That is the number you want.

If you are adding a glow to your weapon, go to ItemDisplayInfo.dbc and find your DisplayID in field 1. Once you find it, go to field 24 and enter in the number that you found earlier, and save.

If you are swapping enchantments, stay in SpellItemEnchantment.dbc and take the ItemVisuals.dbc ID from the enchantment you want, and swap it with the one of the enchantment that you already have, which is why I told you to find both.

Pack the DBC files into an MPQ, blah blah blah, you know the rest.

Can you please replace fiery weapon with 81 spell power because when I tried it didn't work. I did the following:

    1) Open Tailis

    2) Open SpellItemEnchantment.dbc

    3) I went to the top Table and then went to field 31 of Fiery Weapon(I even tried 32)

    4) I changed the 25 to 172

    5) I clicked save and selected my SpellItemEnchantment.dbc

    6) I opened WinMPQ and hit new

    7) I made a file called patch-enUS-5.MPQ

    I added the SpellItemEnchantment.dbc with DBFilesClient\

    9) I closed WinMPQ and put the patch into my World of Warcraft\Data\enUS

    10) I went online and enchanted fiery but it didn't change

Bizarre.. I was able to change 81 sp to fiery a few weeks ago. All my WoW files are on my external HD right now.. which I need a replacement USB cable for. :/

As far as I can tell, you did everything correctly.
