Cataclysm Goblin Model

I recently gained hold of the Cataclysm client and was looking to import the Goblin into my current client. However, when I tried, my toon simply vanished.

I had taken the goblin of the Cataclysm client and extracted it, renamed each file to fit that of the troll's and created a patch with the obvious Character/Troll/Male folder sequence. Was there a file conversion process between Cataclysm files to WOTLK files that I missed?

I'm willing to provide the Goblin model if it helps any.

i believe that you have to modify the dbc?
