I've attempted my own, files in the 'tile' category go well as I try making them match as well as possible - it all goes well. When it comes to changing trees, shrubs and the like, it becomes more difficult because I have trouble figuring out which .m2 and .blp files go together and considering that I'm changing BGs I try to make the new models almost as similar to the previous model, since I don't want to have any sort of advantage.
It doesn't matter whether they actually work well or not, whenever I encounter the shrub or tree that has been altered, WoW closes and the 'Error window' appears saying there was an error with the file path for the altered model showing. Okay, fine. I'm using the latest .exe file that's needed to make WoW work without crashing when character models are altered, but is it also neccessary for such model changes as this? I'd DL'd a file which changed AV and other related things to a more "spring" look, as is from the "Spring in Alterac Valley" topic in the Model Editing forum. However WoW crashed when I encountered the altered files, again, this was without the .exe file active at the time(I'd already closed it).
I'd check this for myself but I ran out of prepair time about 30 minutes ago!![]()
I suppose other people might be interested though... :/
Nevermind, I tested on a mate's account and it seems I just needed to keep the .exe active longer.
