Making a model lower?

Hey there. I'm model-swapping the parachute from the parachute cloak enchant, and I need help. When I swap it, the swap works fine, but the parachute floats a good foot or two above me. Is there a program that I could use to sink it so that it looks like it's actually carrying me instead of somehow saving me without touching me? Maybe putting its center lower so that it spawns lower? I know that's how the deeprun tram works. Its center is at the very top of its model, so we don't have to stand on the tip-top of a moving tram. +Rep to the person who helps me.

Could try just moving the model down in a 3D modeling app. Maybe you could change the attachment point in ModIt if there even is one, though that may also screw up some other things.
