help with mywarcraft studio

Im new to model editing, and im having trouble getting it to display the actual 3d models that i select. So i have a few questions,
A: i can't open .m2 files, any ideas?
B: the files i select that can be opened seem to come up in 2d, pic posted below. thx in advance for the help

Those files you are seeing are called .blp files. They are skin files or texture files if you will. The reason they only come up in 2d is because they arn't the actual model, the .m2 files are 3d model files.

You can't view them is because you have an outdated version of MWCS and the way to fix it is by deleting the M2Craft.dll in your MWCS folder.

You still can't actually see the .m2 but you can select it to edit them.

im still confused if model changing with MWCS is the same as it used to be (like krazzee shows in his guide)...so id be grateful if ill get an answer of yes or no :P

well i tried to make it work. it didnt, so can u tell me please wat has been changed ? or is it because i didnt use .10?

First, you need the model edit fix which can be found here:
http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...-edit-fix.html

This allows you to change models around without WoW crashing on you.


Other than that, the only difference I've seen is that blizzard changed the name of the .mpq files to something else rather than those shown in krazzee's guide.
