Simple Question: I have Maya 2009, and have quite a few objects I would like to put into WoW. Even if I can't simply add objects, how can I replace them (Replace the Dark Portal with a Tree, etc).

I'm upping the offer to 10 +rep for an answer - This would really help me out.
Thanks =)

Might this help?

Hmm, thanks for the help, but I'm still having a little trouble. I'll ask in the other thread.
Do so, but I suspect it will be possible to switch your maya files to MDX then them into m2

Ah, now this is an interesting prospect; Maya files can export into many different formats, but MDX or MDL aren't included. This means I'd have to take, say, an OBJ and turn that into a .m2. Now, turning something into a .m2 is fine, but how does it go INTO my WoW files, so I can see it in game?
Is it rewriting patch.MPQ data? Overwriting? Adding more patch-x.MPQ files? Or otherwise? If I have a good .m2 file, (I made my own super-amazing Deep Freeze for example) how do I make it so that the next time I see it in game its now super-amazing?
If you swapped something with your own, then make the correct trypath and name the file archive patch-x.MPQ
where x can be a-z or 1-9.
