How to model edit in 3.2.2 w/o WoWME?

I've just seen "put the desired race MPQ file into the data folder and rename it patch-5.MPQ" and that's it.

This does not work ofc, so..
How do I model edit w/o wowme? step by step, any programs needed?

Really wants this to work!

u do what exactly u said maybe the MPQ was old or something. In sort take ur MPQ and copy it to the data folder then start wow and should work if not it is MPQ fault.

Fix it, named the file "patch-5" instead of "patch-5.MPQ". Guess it's different on vista...
