HELP my Warcraft studio Re-skinning Problem pleeease!

OK i need help. i'm trying to re-skin my gryphon mount into a reigndeer mount but i have a problem....
i followed a reall easy guide. this is what i did:

1. i found the gryphon skin.
2. i copied its treepath and pasted it on notepad.
3. i found the reigndeer skin and i extracted it to my desktop
4. i then re-named the reigndeer file to gryphon
5. then i created a new mpq archive in MWCS.
6. i created a patch called patch-x.MPQ i saved it blah blah
7. then i added a arcvive which was the extracted file and i did the treepath thing in the notebook. and i saved it all.
8. then i tried viewing it on MWCS but it wouldnt show so i just went on and played it i cant upload the picture for some weird reason but when i went to mount the reigndeer thing looked allll blocky and weird looking it wasnt even a model it was like a glitchy looking thing i can still move it just had no shape
IDK if its wowme or if im doing sumthing wrong but if you can help PLEASSE i need it :confused:
