[Question] What programs should I use?

Hi, I want to edit the world in arenas, mainly i just want to change the colour of the ground for fun .

But I would also want to know how I can remove objects that block my way, for example a door.

Im sure there are other ways to do it, but to replace the color of the ground you can find the texture file and replace it.
When I used to do world edits, Nogg was a pain to setup so I simply replaced the .blp file used for the ground texture.
If you were going to replace the Nagrand Arena's floor, the texture would most likely be in World\Nagrand.
If you do this though, the zone Nagrand would also be changed.

As for the door do a model swap.
Find the .M2 for the door or object you want to get rid of and replace it with something small like a barrel or fish.

This can all be done using MyWarCraftStudio and the Model Edit Fix.

Doors are usually part of a larger WMO, like a keep or a dungeon. Therefore, in order to get rid of them, you'd have to edit the object via 3dsMax or Art Of Illusion (Personally i much prefer 3ds).

Moreover, in order to edit the ground you'd have to edit the .BLP textures relative to that zone, ADT or object.

    Nope...
99,9% of all doors are m2s.
Because most of them have animations , and you cant have animations in an wmo.
