Changing character select backgrounds?

A long time ago I remember coming across somebody that managed to switch the backgrounds on the character select screen.

e.g- Switching the gates of Ironforge background that the gnomes/dwarves have -----> Moonwell background of the nightelves.

I've googled, searched these forums and checked my hard drive for the old files to no avail. I'm assuming this is a very simple edit. Could somebody possibly point me in the right direction of how to do this myself?

You are probably mistaking for a race swap, Where the Night Elf was model edited into a Gnome, Because I have never seen such a model edit

It is possible, the files are there, and changable. They're an actual 3D environment, not just a picture. Unfortunately, I'm clueless when it comes to world/land editing. It can be done, though.

Thanks alot for the filepaths, Ashrow. I'll go and have a play with them tomorrow though I'm assuming a job like this would take a dbc edit. Repped anyway!

So I had a whack at doing this myself....

After finding what I assume are the correct files (interface/GLUES/MODELS/UI_[race])..
-Extract to desktop
-Create the correct folder structure
-Rename the nightelf folder (UI_nightelf) to UI_dwarf
-drag any file into the interface folder
-open MWS and import the folder

......and no change. I'm trying here. Anybody with more experience able to give a helping hand?

edit: Assuming this isn't working because the files inside UI_[race] are completly different to any others. This is the reason I thought this might take a DBC edit?
