[Request/Question] Custom Area Name

Hi, i have readed this thread http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...-area-ids.html
for make custom area name.

I have tryed but nothing work.

1. I have setted with Taliis one chunk with areaID 987456, saved my adt and maked a MPQ

2. I created new MPQ with DBFilesClient folder, and Area Table.dbc Modifed with a new line.
My custom place is in Searing Gorge, i have cloned the line of Searing Gorge and modified Name and ID only.
In the id, my custom id setted with taliis (987456)

I have tryed ingame but Name not change..

3. I have modified Area Table.dbc original in locale-enGB.MPQ with a new line, without make a new patch-X.MPQ, only the patch of adt's

but nothing change...

Some1 can make simple tutorial to do this? please

or tell me what i do wrong

there are 5 adt's..

In: Azeroth_31_45.adt , Chunk 10/7 i have setted the AreaID: 987456 with Taliis.

In: patch-3.MPQ there are 2 folder:
DBFilesClient/Area Table.dbc
WORLD/Maps/Azeroth/ adt's here

From wich wow version did you take this dbc?
There is no prob with your adt. The areaid is set, and the build of the patch is correct.
So What is left? The dbc^^

I have extract from 3.2a because my private server is 3.2.

Anyway, works, my area change, but not change on my chunk (10/7).
I have tested only going on my chunk with areaid but now i have tested all area.

Now ill try to set my id to all chunk and see.

There are problem using Dbc from 3.2?

No there should be no probs.
10/7 is only the chunk in noggit. Actually your chunk is the 167 one.^^
Just for information.
You can set all areaids on the whole adt to one by using the 'set areaids' function in Edit->replacement tools
Enter your areaid in the field where 'AreaID(0-4294967295)' stands
0 to 255 means wich to wich chunk the areaid should be set. So for the whole adt just leave it like that.

I have setted the areaID in this chunk (Taliis show both 'coords' of the chunk.. in noggit 10/7 and 167)

But Now work perfectly!
