Light.dbc references LightParams.dbc references LightSkybox.dbc.
madx.dk/wowdev/wiki.
Thx!
But how i can find an area? there are no Names
For example:
i have created a custom zone name. AreaID 987456
Now i want to set my custom sky effect to this area.
How i can do this?
looking at the structure of Light.dbc, there are only the id's of map's and not the AreaID
I need to add a new mapID (related to my areaID) and set the sky for this map?
If yes, How?
Thx!
You should have seen, that there are coordinates in the DBC. Look for those that are nearest to the landscape you are in. You can't assign AreaIDs to skies.
The Other Side / Snoman has made a "LightMapper". You may use that one to get the entry you need.
mmm, Nice tool!
Maybe i understood! For example, wow chat -> .gps on area when i want to see my sky.
I add a new line on Lights.dbc and fill the coordinates, and change the id of animation/texture.
It's ok?
Yah, that should do the job.
I have tryed, but not work
I dont know if my coords are wrong.
I have simply get from .gps and filled in Light.dbc
here: Light.dbc - WoW.Dev Wiki
I see that X, Y and Z are values multiplied by 36
But, dont know if i need to multiply my coords..
In my Light.bc i see the most value (x,y,z) start from 122/121
example: 1219252494, etc etc
help me please! i want to change the sky of this coords (taked with .gps in wow):
X: -7306.0244
Y: 222.6066
Z: 59.4830
You just said it yourself. Oo
I tryed but not work..i see the classic blue sky
