Custom Login Screen.

My system spec on laptop isnt as good as my desktop and when ever i try logging on wow it freezes up and takes like 3mins just for me to log in.

i have browsed for other login screens such as Vanilla and BC but cant get them to work, it just loads WOTLK with the annoying dragon.

Could someone please walk me thro how to change this properly?

Also i would like to know what i need to make my own login Etc' Do i extract BLP from patches like when re-skinning or start from scratch?

What you could do is instead of model edit edit some LUA/XML
I know the BC thing but not the wotlk one, quite simply it does a check on your client if expansion=wotlk then it displays a different BG...

so... just mess around with that :P

LUA IS A SCRIPT AND XML IS CODE :P both code however tho

Yes, but i understand you can change BG in patch form, right?

What you could do is what I'm saying is edit the world of warcraft code, MyWarcraftSudio it, extract and put that in a patch with the url of the files changed for the if WOTLK part.

lol, all ide like to know is, is it possible to change the login and loading screens the same way as re-skinning by copying the treepath etc etc?
