Help Wanted - Edit Weapon/Gear?

Hello there. I've been active in model edit/reskins and all that for like 2 months now. But have hardly made any progress until i learned how to reskinn. My one and only question (for now) is how to reach WDB files? Or whatever files weapons and gear lies in. Oh, and about 3ds max. I've got a 3dstom2 script, but it doesnt seem to work. I drag the file (3ds Max Scene File) to the script, and nothing happends. guess i get the wrong 3ds max savefile then? Doesnt got more then that one (.max) and .chr (?) to choose between. Got 3ds Max 2010.

Might be, can't rep yet as its not confirmed, and i cant recieve it at the moment. Still mainly need to know some program to help me edit models in wow files. More like weapons and gear. How to open and extract files from more then just MPQs
