    WoWMe and F8?

What's the point of pressing F8 before you login? I forgot to press it once, and the model change still worked.

I believe that for older versions of ME F8 actually loaded the fixes but with this newer version the only point is that pressing it closes that window in the background.

I can't load World of Warcraft without pressing F8. Just says it can't validate game version (If you use .mpqs)

It appears that you dont have to hit F8 if you have merged your wow account with a battle.net account. not sure whether this is true but since merging i no longer have to hit f8 for it to work. confirmation plz?

Well, if you do it on retail it'll say "Cannot validate game version blablabla...".. I think, what it does is, that it makes the client transfer into version 2.3.0 or w/e, where model edits were possible, so that it won't crash and once you've pressed F8 it'll show it as the newest version.. Or the version you're using WoWMe for atleast.. That's just my guess.. And why you sometimes are able to login would be because the private server you're on also accepts clients of that version the WoWMe converts it into.. I think..

I rarely press F8 and I never have a problem, I use to but now I don't for some reason. I just forget to do it sometimes.
