    Ghost Wolf -> Feral Spirit

    Hey there,

    Am new to model editing and trying my first reskin - the shaman ghost wolf to the feral spirit (blue glowy wolf).

    Followed Lex's guide and everything worked perfectly....however for some reason the skin has black blocks in it where it should be transparent, and doesn't glow like the Feral Spirits do, so it follows the line of the wolf's body but has black filling it in.

    I literally just opened up the Ghost_WolfSkin.blp and copied the images out of it with paint.NET and then opened up both WolfSkinCoyote.blp and WolfSkinCoyoteAlpha.blp (after conversion ofc) and pasted the ghost wolf image into it, deleting the old ones.

    Basically I guess I'm asking if anyone knows how to get rid of the black, and to give it the glow like the Feral Spirits have. Thanks in advance!

    It sounds like you havent got the alpha channels working correctly and black spots are showing where it should be alpha (I could be wrong though).
    You havent mentioned what program you are doing your BLP conversions with, so that could be the issue. If you're not using it already, try WoWExplored's Texture Converter / Browser as it supports BLP alphas pretty well.

    You can get it from the Model Editing Guides & Programs forum in the Model Editing Apps Updated thread. (sorry I cant post links >_< )

    Once you have that, try doing your conversions again with that and see if it makes a difference.

    As for the glow not working, I'm not really sure since I'm kinda new at it too, but I think you may need to actually swap the model as well as just the texture to get that going properly. Anyone more knowledgable feel free to correct me please :-D
