    Finding Which Map Chunk In Game

    How do I find an .ADT file in game. I am looking for the Ragefire Chasm ADT but all I can find is the WDT and WDL files. Help anyone?

    I could also settle for finding the adt file attached to the WDT directly through some program.

    I am not positive but I am quite sure that the WMO for Orgrimmar does NOT contain the files for RFC. This is because you cannot teleport from Orgrimmar, which is in Durotar, which is in Kalimdor, to Ragefire Chasm, namely because they are on two different maps. And when I say "maps" I mean Kalimdor, Outland, Northrend etc.

    EDIT: Also, how do I lower all the "Z" values for an ADT at once with SWG's Map Editor? I am on a private server so don't freak at me.

    instances are not inside any maps.... im pretty sure that it uses og but it doesnt tell you any map because its an instance. WDL and WDT files only contains how far you can go outside adt and things like that. It's the WDL and WDT's that gets you stuck if you try swim outside an ADT. I dont know much about it tho

    instances are inside a map ~.~

    wdt==the map containing information about where(and if) adts are located and about global spawned wmos.
    wdl==the horizon mountains(->it's a heightmap)

    use Taliis to edit these.

    I hate when people with ZERO knowledge about something tell others about something.

    WDTs reference ADT tiles or WMOs for an map / instance. Everything in map.dbc is an instance / map.

    So RagefireChasm is a map / instance referenced in map.dbc. In RagefireChasm.wdt, there is no ADT referenced but an WMO. That WMO is the actual "instance" as Mitron thinks.

    So to change something in ragefire, you would need to edit the WMO referenced in the wdt. Have fun.

    Wow, I hope one day I will be as good at this stuff as you. Can you link me a guide to DBC editing or give me a brief, very brief synopsis of what to do? +Rep'd already for the help thus far!
