    ModelChanger.exe Problems

Recently, I've been trying to change my gnome male into an Undead mage. Ive looked at tons of guides, and I've pretty much given up on the warcraft studio and set my sights on the modelchanger way. I have the .exe file in my wow folder and when I download what model I want changed, I put in into my data folder, then when I run wow with the modelchanger.exe and load up wow, I have no problems. Yet, when I click on my character who is a gnome, wow will crash. When it crashes, I get an error message saying:

This application has encoutered a critial error.
    ERROR #131 File Corrupt
    Program: C:/Program Files/WoW/WoW.exe
    File: Character/Gnome/GnomeMale.m2

and then wow closes. If anyone can tell me what is going on and what I can to fix it (new version or something) I would love it.
BTW, Ive seen a ton of guides saying things like, Character.MPQ and texture files. I have Common.MPQ which I am pretty sure is just the same thing, but eh. Thanks for any info I am given.

    Re: ModelChanger.exe Problems

Make sure you are running the latest version of the ModelChangeFix.

Make sure you are not closing it before you actually see your edit.

    ----

Character/Texture MPQ were all merged into Common.mpq in patch 2.0 the guides are a little outdated

    Re: ModelChanger.exe Problems

I hope I am using the latest Modle change. I got the one from this thread:

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...nge-mania.html

It's called ModelChange. I dont know if I'm using the wrong program because you refer to ModelChangeFix, maybe its diffrent, maybe not dont know.

Also, I'm not closing it, what I do it open my wow folder and click on the modelchange.exe and let it load. then I will try to get on my char and it will crash, I will never close the wow folder.

and just to make sure I'm doing this right, I have an unaltered wow folder and all I do is download a Gnome to UD patch and this exe. I put the exe in the wow folder and then put the patch right next to COmmon.MPQ
