Changing the portal gun model (Basic help)

Okay, so, I downloaded the Aperture Science Portal Creation Device Model (The portal gun) and I was going to change it into my weapon in-game so I'd have the gun. Well, In MyWarcraftStudio, I couldnt find the weapon out of alllllllll the object components, then I realized when I click a .m2 file in that program, it crashes... So I tried using Glitchy's Model Editing Suite to create a mpq with the .m2 and blp. And I A: Cant choose items for it. B: When I create listfile it stalls for about 5 minutes, then gives me an error.
    So what can I do?
