I'm hoping someone will be able to help me, I've browsed through what seems like dozens of forum posts with lots of similar issues, but nothing quite the same.
I tried to do a model swap via Hex value changes in the itemcache file, in this case a 2H staff to a shield model. The model swap was successful (including the sheathe location), and the model and icon both show up in game correctly, however the model lacks a texture and instead shows a default green one.
From my reading in the model cusomtization/injection threads this seems to indicate that the game detects a texture but is unable to display it.
Specifically I switched the 4 digit hex value for the staff to that of the shield. Then I changed the double digit sheathe location from 07 (staff) to 04 (shield).
I guess my question is, is there additional hex values that have to be swapped for the texture files, could the game be unable to reconcile a staff-to-shield swap, or am I just missing something simple?
