RE: My Warcraft studio error

hi all, i seem to be having a problem whenever i "click on" an m2 file in the "My Warcraft Studio" application, I get an error message that states "MyWarcraftStudio has encountered a critical error", then i get the "send" or "dont send" options. I have downloaded MWCS from the sticky thread that includes all of the model editing apps, so if that is not the most up to date version, could that be causing the crash? Also I am running on a windows XP and have WOTLK installed which could be causing the crash as well. If you have any suggestions as to what I should do to fix this, they would be most appreciated

This has been answered TOO MANY times... Delete M2Craft.dll.

alright, deleted the file but then i cannot see any objects when i activate the m2. Is this supposed to happen, and will the model edits still work?

MWCS is not used to view models. It has no possiblity to show them.

It was originally built to view models (m2s), BLPs ADTs, WMOs, and all that. Don't say it wasn't because I know for a fact it was. It used to work properly back in 2005.

so are we saying that MYCS doesnt even work? and if so, what can i use?

oO? No? I said, that MWCS is not able to show files. But that is not the main usage of the app anyway. Its used to modify MPQs and not show models. There are ModelViewers for it.

alright, thanks... I was just woundering because I have tried many guides and none of them seem to work properly. I can edit the model but it looks "broken" as in the geometry.

You need to swap the .skin files too, as has also been said many times on the forum..
