DBC editing

in another forum about model editing I saw where someone made a ME so that you could jump in the air. they removed it, but some of the other people said that it can be done easly through dbc editing. I downloaded a dbc editor, but there are no dbc files in my wow folder, only wbd. so i downloaded a hex editor to open wbd files with. I don't know how to hex, and it is confusing to me.
I was wondering if someone could make a guide on how to do this edit, or if you could make a file for me. Im sure im not the only one that wants it.

BTW:im working on a model edit right now that im bout to upload. i feel bad for being leacher
