[Request] Teach me how to simple model swap 3.0.2

I noticed some people putting up their edits and they seem to work, since I tested a few out myself, however I would like to learn how to do a BE male to HuM swap

is it like how you had to do it before MES with a batch renamer or what, because I can't seem to get any MES-made edits to work (i get a crazy looking model that looks like it exploded all over the screen) however I got someone else's BeM > ScM and it worked fine.

Anyone wanna tell me how they're doing it? I'm not asking for anyone to make me a BeM > HuM edit i just wanna know HOW.

aha nvm guys I just did the old batch renamer method and it works like a charm

EDIT: still having trouble with the helmfix, any help would be appreciated

you extract the human male folder from common.mpq with MyWarcraftStudio and use a batch renamer to rename every file that has "humanmale" in it with "bloodelfmale", then pack it with MyWarcraftStudio and voila, your BE looks like a human

however I still havent gotten a helmfix to work
