[Question] 'Simple Model Edit' patch files

I've been trying to change my voidwalker (I'm not an editor; I just started trying to change my void) and I've come upon several good models I want to use.

Everyone links to a patch file but I do not know where to save it to, or where to extract it to, or what. What is the protocol when using someone's Simple Model Edit.

A lot that I've seen are also around 2007; So, I assume the changes Blizzard made to preventing model edits have since taken effect.

The patch file should go in your data folder. Normally like this C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/Data and put it in there And the 2007 model edits should still work they just need the name:

patch-#.MPQ (# is a number between 3-9 or a-z)

Also, you need wowme.exe (model edit fix) to launch WoW that can be found in bots, hacks and programs sections, just search for model edit fix by kynox.
