If the file is smth for swap..you should copy it in Data folder from wow dir! w/e the .mpq file should have a name like : patch-x.MPQ where x is a number 0-9 or a letter a-z
srry for eng! Hope you understand

    1) Open your WoW folder
    2) Open the folder called Data
    3) Place the MPQ file into the Data folder
    4) Name the MPQ file patch-x.MPQ <---- the letter "x" can be replaced with any number 4-9 or any letter a-z if you wish. Make sure that the "MPQ" part is in capitals and that the rest of it is lower case.
    5) Run WoW with the Model Edit Fix
    6) You have a working MPQ file

I think you also must delete Scan.dll from your WoW folder, and a backup of it that appears when you run WoW after deleting it
D: I'm kinda stuck with not doing much D: but I'm going to attempt to do an icy edit, like I stated before, it'll just take me a while >.<

if you change a character race .m2 you need a program called MEF (model edit fix)
i saw a link to it somwhere at this site (but MEF dont like working for everybody)

theres other things it could be, but a race edit is most comon and MEF should fix most other
    things too

but then again, if it crashes game or glitches, i dont do it.(so i could be wrong)

basicaly if you dont affect the world itself or your character directly (race, armour, weapon, ect mods) your usualy fine

though direct character "reskin" mods work (with out MEF)

for example, i use Glitchy's MES to do race conversion, blood elf male to undead male

then i use the warcraft studio to open the mpq made by glitchy's mes, and remove the .m2
file from it (looks kinda cool)
