    Model transparency?

    I know its possible but Im not sure how, Im trying to use the firedancer model (orange dancing dreanei) to replace something but I want the model to be opaque. Could anyone tell me how to remove the tansparency from the model? or better yet do it for me? I would do it myself but I am on a PPC mac and I dont have immediate access to a windows computer. Ill give +Repx2 to anyone willing to help me out here.

    Edit: I just checked this can be done fairly easily with Cryects Tools, and tried to compile m2modder for unix but my mind is boggled and I cant even figure out how to do it at all.

    Its in a DBC. CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc -> field 5 (starting at 1). 255 - opaque, 0 - transparent.

    Oh yes, depends on how you change the model. The dancer itself has a rendermode which enables alpha-blending. You have to change the rendermode.

    I know what I have to do but I dont have immediate access to cryects tools, but I could try it this weekend I tried yesterday and changed the rendermode to 0 but is there then something you do to save or export the model? And im doing just a simple replace DruidOwlbear.m2 with Firedancer.m2 patch.

    Export the model. Change renderflags. Import with new filename. Nothing more.

    I tried that but the model was unchanged, after you hit 0 for the correct render flag what do you do after that?

    Get back to the main menu and quit M2Modder? Just do it in hex. Easier.

    Well, based on my personal experience, you can change the rendering mode this way: start by opening the file in m2modder, and type the following (enter keys not included). # is the number for the rendering mode, which in this case you'll want to be 0.

    u
    0
    b
    0
    #
    1
    #
    2

    3
