How to get a WMO fully textured in 3dsmax

    Hiya,
I would like to construct a scene in 3dsmax using the WOW world models.
I was going to try doing undercity first, but the only tool I found would not add any information for textures.

does anybody have any advice on hte best way to get a model of (for example) undercity in 3dsmax with full textures, ready to be lit?

please, has somebody worked on somethig like this before?
even if you tell me that i have to texture it all myself, I would really like some reply rather than the feeling of being completely ignored.

I used taylor mouses converter. I was recommended it from the wowmodelviewer forums.
are there other converters? even if i have to go through multiple programs, I do not mind. I thik any of that would be a lot better than doing it myself. it'd take a lot of time to do it myself.

    thanks for your reply.

Oh well. Its the only one I knew but it could have been that you have an other one. Actually I thought that this converter adds textures. Meeh. Try WoWModelViewer. It has an export too. As far as I know, it exports textures too.

    ok thank you very much
As far as I know WMV can't access WMO files? but anyway, thank you for your time

in case you want to do any of this in the future, I give you some information.
since you said that this is the only one you know of, then maybe you don't know about exporting via blitz3d?
taylor mouse posted in my thread on wowmodelviewer forums today and gave me a script to open WMO's in blitz3d. from there I assume you can just export the model as a format that can open in 3dsmax. I haven't got it working yet because i only got the trial of blitz 3d and teh script would end up being too large. so I need to get the full version before i can see if it works properly.

here is a link to the thread - WoWMapView -> Exporting Map Models
